When Wappalyzer is the better choice

Questions
Is How Its Built affiliated with Wappalyzer?
No. Wappalyzer is a product of Wappalyzer Pty Ltd. Our detection builds on open fingerprints maintained by the enthec/webappanalyzer community under GPL-3.0.
Will I find the same technologies?
Mostly. Both tools recognize technologies from fingerprints in the same original format, so results overlap heavily. Wappalyzer lists a larger catalogue today; we add our own signatures for newer developer tools.
Can I use both?
Yes. They are independent browser extensions. If you need lead lists or CRM enrichment, Wappalyzer covers that; for a private, low-cost look at how sites are built, use How Its Built.
